COVID-19: Delta Assembly members assure Okowa of their prayers ~ Truth Reporters

The Leadership and all Honourable Members of the Delta State House of Assembly have assured the State Governor, His Excellency, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa and his family of their prayers at this trying moment.
Governor Okowa and wife, Dame Edith Okowa were on Wednesday reported to have tested positive to the Coronavirus and they had been on isolation when the report of their daughter testing positive came out.
The Leadership and all the Honourable Members of the House in expressing their concerns through the Speaker, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori said that; "Your Excellency the Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, this is to let you know that the Leadership and all Honourable Members of the Delta State House of Assembly identify with you, your dear wife and amazing daughter in prayers in this trying moment.
According to them, the courage the Governor displayed in telling Deltans that his daughter tested positive for COVID-19 is exemplary, adding that; "Few days later, you announced to Deltans that you and your dear wife were going for self-isolation. You also informed the public that both of you tested positive for the Coronavirus."
"Your Excellency, it takes strength of character, integrity and honour to embrace the full disclosure option. But that is who you are. We, as a House are praying fervently for you and your beloved family to the Almighty God to let His Divine healing hand rest upon the first family. Because God answers prayers, we know that you and your loved ones will come out stronger and healthier to the glory of God", they stated.
They added that; "Your Excellency, be reassured that we join our faith with yours as we will sing victory songs at the end of the day.Your sincerity of purpose since the outbreak of the pandemic is not in doubt".
They said while, the leadership and Honourable Members of the Delta State House of Assembly pray for the speedy recovery of the first family and all those who have contracted the Coronavirus, " We wish to state that Deltans should observe the health safety protocols put in place by the Nigerian Centre For Disease Control (NCDC) and other relevant health authorities".
"Together we will defeat this virus.This is wishing the first family speedy recovery from all of us in the House", they wrote.
