Why politicians should collaborate, irrespective of political affiliations – Dr Oweh ~ Truth Reporters
The Commissioner representing Isoko ethnic nationality on the board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Dr. Paul Oweh, has stressed the need for politicians to collaborate for the development of their areas irrespective of party affiliations.
Dr. Oweh stressed this in Emevor, Isoko North Local Government Area, when he received on courtesy call, the newly appointed Commissioner representing South South in the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC), Chief Francis Atanomeyovwi.
According to him, “Let me first congratulate you on this appointment. I feel very honoured that shortly after your appointment you set out to reach me.
“There is need for politicians to collaborate for the development of their areas irrespective of party affiliations; despite our party differences, you didn’t hesitate to consult me on the way forward as regards your appointment; this is how it should be, leaders must continue to share ideas in the interest of our people.
“Our people rejoice with you and we wish you success in the task ahead because, the appointment is a great responsibility; it is a national assignment and I have no doubt in my mind that you will deliver,” he added.
Earlier, Chief Atanomeyovwi said he was in Emevor to pay courtesy call on Dr Oweh who was his predecessor in office.
“As my predecessor in office, courtesy demands that I come and visit you to learn from your wealth of experience.
“By the special grace of God we will continue to collaborate in the interest of our dear state,” he said.
