Secondus gives out daughter in marriage ~ Truth Reporters



National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus on Saturday gave out his daughter, Sharon Secondus, in marriage to Binundu Samuel.

The wedding ceremony took place at the Rivers State Christian Ecumenical Centre in Port Harcourt.






Dignitaries who attended the wedding included Governor's Nyesom Wike of Rivers and his wife Suzzet; Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta and his wife Edith; Bala Mohammed of Bauchi; Emeka Ihedioha of Imo; Prof Ben Ayade of Cross-Rivers; Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, Kelechi Igwe Esq; Mrs Titi Atiku Abubakar, wife of former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, wife of Sokoto Governor Hajia Maryam Tambuwal; and Senate Minority Leader, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe.

Other dignitaries include, former Governor Liyel Imoke of Cross River; Engr Rabiu Kwankwanso; Senator Douye Diri; Sen. Dino Melaye; Senator Ighoyota Amori; Speaker Delta State House of Assembly, Sheriff Oborevwori, Chief Whip Delta State House of Assembly Dr Pat Ajudua; Senator Ben Obi; Chairman Daar Communications Plc Raymond Dokpesi; members of the National Working Committee of the PDP among others.

Founder and Senior Pastor of Graceville Christian Centre Abuja, Rev Tunde Ayeni, in a sermon charged the couple to respect one another in marriage adding that "those who are not humble cannot stay in marriage".

He urged the couple to listen to each other and always profess their love at all times.

Guests were treated to a reception at the Main Bowl of Alfred Diette-Spiff Civic Centre, Moscow Road, Port-Harcourt.

Chairman of the ocassion and Governor of Delta, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa in his remark advised the couple to be guided by the covenant they took on the altar and also urged them to always pray together as they move on. In life .

"I want to join the families to welcome you this afternoon. We have come here to celebrate the union of a very lovely couple dear to us.

"It is my prayer that as we celebrate with them, let us be reminded that we have a duty to pray for the success of the marriage.

"I am glad that they are reminded they are in covenant guided by our Lord Jesus Christ.

"As you begin to have children, you must learn to pray and share your thoughts together because when Christ is the bedrock of your marriage, it will be a success.

"May the beauty of Christ reflect in your home," Governor Okowa added
