The people of Owhelogbo community in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State have cried out to security operatives to fast track the release of their illustrious son, Isaiah Okpedeasiwe (alias ECOMOG), a retired Soldier who was kidnapped since September.
Disturbed by the silence and inaction of security operatives since their son Isaiah Okpedeasiwe was kidnapped, Owhelogbo indigenes both in the diaspora and in Nigeria have made a special appeal to the Department of State Security, DSS, Police to help rescue their abducted son.
In a statement, the indigenes said”it’s great sorrow to Owhelogbo people in Isoko North Local Government area of Delta Sate and very disturbing, disheartening and distressing that more than 3 months ago now, after the reprehensible kidnapping of Isaiah Okpedeasiwe (alias ECOMOG, a retired Soldier) at Ozoro in Isoko North Local Government of Delta State, not a word has been heard from the relevant Government and any of the security/law enforcement agencies on efforts to secure his safe release and return.
"It is our belief and expectation that the various govt agencies are working assiduously to secure the safe release of ECOMOG to his family but Owhelogbo people need to be updated on these efforts.
"Such reports not only give hope to the people of Owhelogbo but also reassure the family members of ECOMOG who are worried sick and have gone to a state of despair.
"We demand the immediate release and safe return of ECOMOG to his family. Please, circulate this information to all mass and social media. Please, save ECOMOG. For any information relating to this unfortunate episode, please contact the nearest Police Station," the statement added
