Ibegbulem, Aniagwu Bag Delta Role Model Awards
Principal Secretary to the Governor of Delta State, Mr. Hilary Ibegbulem and the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Charles Aniagwu has been announced as winners in the 2019 edition of the Delta Role Model Awards.
The duo is billed to be presented with the Grassroot Empowerment Personality of the Year and Media Personality of the Year Awards respectively along side notable Deltans in government and the private sector home and abroad, at an event scheduled to hold on August 8, 2019 at the Sweet Spirit Hotel in Asaba, the Delta State capital.
A statement by Prince Donaldson Onosakponome, Country Director of the African Child Foundation, organisers of the award said the duo of Hilary Ibegbulem and Charles Aniagwu were voted for by Deltans in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the growth and development of Delta State in their various capacities.
"Hilary Ibegbulem is a house hold name in Delta State politics due to his philanthropic disposition and close rapport with the youths of the state, while Charles Aniagwu is being honoured for his outstanding performances as Governor Okowa's Chief image maker.
"Aniagwu did perfectly well in keeping Deltans abreast with the SMART AGENDA of the Governor with the innovative SMART DELTA TV programmes showing weekly on National Television without a repeat of content.
"Beyond his media performance, he is also reputed to have empowered a lot of people especially journalists and his people of Akwumazi-Umuocha Kingdom in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta.
"We decided to honour these true Role Models for their track records and to encourage other Deltans to believe in themselves and to ensure that they out in their best in any position of authority they find themselves," he added.
