Support Okowa's Administration For Positive Change, Tidi Tells Journalists
Chairman Warri South Local Government area, Dr Michael Tidi has called on journalists to support Governor Ifeanyi Okowa's administration in other to bring about positive change to the state in general.
Dr Tidi made the appeal when the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Warri Correspondents Chapel paid him a courtesy call in his office in Warri South Local Government Council.
The Chairman while expressing his appreciation to members of the chapel for their support, urged them to change the negative narrative of Warri in order to bring about positive change and attract Investors to the local government and Delta State in general.
He assured the Chapel that security challenges at the Chapel Secretariat would be swiftly looked into to curb the challenges at the Press Centre at Etuwewe, even as he stated that the issue of rent for the Press Centre would be taken care of.
Earlier, The Acting Chairman of the NUJ Warri Correspondents Chapel, Mr Okies Veeky, commended Dr Michael Tidi for recognizing the efforts of the press, and called for a stronger bond between the Council Chairman and the press, saying that the NUJ Warri Correspondents Chapel consists of all National Newspapers and Television.
Mr Okies called on the chairman, to use his office to intervene in the security challenges of the NUJ Secretariat located at Etuwewe, Warri and assist in settling the rent for the Centre.
